Yes, Tony is known as “The Most Interesting Man in Property Management.” But, I would also offer “The Most Innovative Man in Property Management with a Soulful Twist.” When he’s not managing his portfolio at Embrey Management Services, you can likely find him cheering on his three little ones and floating around San Antonio, TX with his wife. If you connect with him, you won’t regret following his exciting career and array of engaging talents.

I love dissecting words and looking for greater meaning like the word Apartment.  What sets you “Apart” and why are you “Meant” for the multifamily industry?

I think differently. I solve problems differently. The multifamily industry is ripe for innovation and creativity and that’s why I’m here.

How and when did you get your start in the industry?

I got my start on the sales floor of a leasing office, pre-pandemic! (vague enough not to age me too much!)

What is one song that always puts you in a good mood?

“Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” – Mase/Diddy

What are 3 tips you would give someone considering a career in multifamily?

Don’t get stuck in the old ways of doing things. Trust yourself, and your intuitive market senses – ask yourself what customers want today and deliver that level of service. Keep staying inspired by someone.

What is your proudest moment in multifamily?

Don’t get stuck in the old ways of doing things. Trust yourself, and your intuitive market senses – ask yourself what customers want today and find ways to deliver that level of service. Keep staying inspired by someone.

Who is your mentor and why?

I have many – I appreciate their honesty and their willingness to tell me what I NEED to hear, not what I WANT to hear.

What book has left the biggest impression on your life?

“TouchPoints” by Douglas Conant (former CEO of Campbell Soup)

If you ever owned an apartment community, where would it be and what would you name it?

My hometown, San Jose, CA. named, “The Antonian”

What is your most memorable vacation?

Last year - Destin, Florida during a Pandemic.

If our country went to 4-day work weeks, how would you spend your 5th day?

Investing in myself and my family – listening to an audio book in the AM, working out – and eating healthily. Spending the rest of my day with my beautiful family.
